Over the last few years the ever popular Open Source Solution WordPress seems to have gained significant traction in the stratosphere. Based on latest round of statistics nearly 15% of all websites on the internet are operational thru WordPress. Quite amazing honestly considering the niche it started out as many years ago. As part of its evolution, the application continues to improve with addition of new features giving users the ability additional control, flexibility, and improved functionality. SEO – Takeaways From Google’s “Freshness” Update

On Friday, Nov. 3, 2011 the SEO community received a wake up call that may have left an aftershock thru the weekend and perhaps for the weeks to come.  For anyone that’s interested in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and internet marketing specialists in particular will find the following information to be quite resourceful.  Google’s “Freshness” update was discussed by none other than SEOmoz CEO & Co-Founder Rand Fishkin (@randfish).  This time around on special whiteboard Friday next to Rand was Mike King (@iPullRank) sharing the new changes in Google’s algorithm which have reflected approximately 35 percent of searches in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). Site Changes: Stepping Into New Waters

It was in 2009 when I initially realized the need and desire to start my own blog.  Although one of the things that I struggled with in the beginning was how to structure it and the individual areas I wanted to focus on.  So I did what I do best.  Up until now my business blog has primarily focused on the technical side of things.  One of my true passions and area of expertise has always been to develop with the well renowned Joomla Content Management System.  It has now been five years or so in total since I have worked with the application both professionally and personally therefore wanted to share that knowledge with others on the web.

Troubleshooting your website’s downtime can be a hectic process and one that can overwhelm most people.  Recently I ran into a few people that I had not seen in many years and was able to catch up with them on things.  After a short conversation about personal Life, business, and current endeavors we turned toward the current field of work that I’m into.  An old high school friend of mine referred to me as a “technical” type of individual which actually proved a valid point.  Website downtime happens every once in a while and can cause headache, frustration, and losses for your business.
