Onto day five of Operation Detoxication. WooHoo! I’m ecstatic as things expedite and gaining momentum with this endeavor. For those of you unaware of the situation I’m referring to my prior commitment regarding curbing of alcohol that I made five days ago. Call it a short-term experiment I decided to take upon myself to see how persistent I can truly be with such endeavors.

As I look back on day five of my detoxication it’s interesting to see how things evolve. Today was actually quite quite fast-paced. My day started off with a client meeting. Typical for the mornings especially on a weekday. The afternoon though on the other hand took a different turn. I accompanied my wife to a doctor’s appointment for a check up. So, by the time we were finished with the doctor’s appointment there wasn’t even any craving whatsoever for alcohol. Not that I’m an alcoholic or anything but I do enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine. Depending on they chain of events and tension of that particular day.
After the doctor’s appointment we headed onto a late lunch. Pei Wei and sushi sounded delicious and hit the spot. Considering the gorgeous weather here in St. Loui Metro Area and the 70+ degrees on this gorgeous Thursday, I decided to hit the golf driving range. I picked up golf a little over a year ago so as the weather warms up I’ve been attempting to improve my swing. After I finished up swinging it was time for dinner. Wife and I headed over to Saullo’s Restaurant. A local Italian restaurant that serves some of the tastiest hand-tossed pizza I’ve had in a long time.
So, in conclusion as I put a close to day five of my mini-experiment, I’m proud to state that still remaining alcohol-free. More news to come tomorrow.
